SCREW AUGERS
The auger is a conveyor of circular or semicircular cross-section with a rotating spiral inside.
Augers have been widely used in the flour milling and grain processing industries. Typically, for horizontal transportation for a short distance at low capacity (up to 40 t / h), U-type augers are used, where the spiral is located in the trough with the lid for maintenance.
For inclined or vertical transport, tubular (round) augers are used with diameters of 100, 200, 300 and more mm.
There are also open augers that are used inside the silos for stripping off product residues on the floor.
The augers are perfectly adjustable in the speed of transport, they are often used with the exact dosage.
